ABOUT

Founded in 1952, the LECPTA is a non-profit organization that is part of the local, state, and national PTA. Current Lakewood Elementary boundaries are Abrams to the west, Patrick Drive and Northwest Highway to the north, White Rock Lake to the east, and East Grand and Glasgow to the south. While most parents live in the Lakewood Elementary school zone, our membership is open to anyone who wants to get involved in the East Dallas/Lakewood community and make the area a better place for our children and families.

President's Message

Our organization provides an array of activities, information, support, and fun that can suit different interests. Knowing the extra stress that comes with parenting and joining a new community, we make it a point to provide value to our members.

Enrich the lives of East Dallas neighborhood children.
Offer friendship and support to other preschool families by providing fun, educational, and social opportunities.
Offer programs promoting effective parenting and happy families.
Support our local schools by providing financial support for education programs, school equipment, and supplies for Lakewood Elementary, J.L. Long Middle School, and Woodrow Wilson High School through proceeds from the Lakewood Home Tour.
